Out of curiosity, because of a conversation I overheard, I became curious about what is available in the North County. It turns out there are services but they are hard to find online and most don't have great websites, if any. Some of the things I would like to see -- like a place to get mail -- seem to not be available.
Since I am fairly computer literate and have had a college class in online search and I had trouble finding these things, I thought I would just make notes. Once I had the notes, I felt I should publish it in case it is useful to someone (because the pageviews I get suggest to me that this site is probably actually being used by homeless people to find info they need).
This is kind of a slapdash list. I just happened to put it together in maybe an hour out of idle curiosity. If you know of other info that you would like to see included, you are welcome to email me. I would be happy to update the information.
Bing Local Search This was the first thing I found. It has a map, phone numbers and addresses but tells you nothing about what each item does. Some of the listings seem to not really be aimed at helping the homeless. I then googled some of the individual items listed and those results (and other things) are linked below.

HOMELESS SHELTERS and SERVICES in NORTH COASTAL SAN DIEGO COUNTY 2010-2011 I googled this separately. It has descriptions of services. This seems to be a good source of info and PDF, so highly printable if you want to take it with you.
http://www.nchs-health.org/content/healthcare-homeless I also googled this separately, I don't recall why. But it is a program aimed at providing healthcare for uninsured homeless in the area.
