You can use your food stamp card to get a hot meal at participating restaurants. This is intended to help homeless individuals get a hot meal. I am unlikely to use it because I have other income so I eat hot meals every day anyway but others on the street are not as fortunate and I spent one month entirely dependent on food stamps when my bank account was locked up by one of my creditors. So I know what it is like to eat cold food all the time.
